I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
